DALI Groups and Individual DALI Loads

Add DALI® groups and individual loads to the Crestron Home system.

NOTES:

  • The DALI option is not displayed in the Device Types menu until a DALI gateway is added to the system. To add one, refer to Add a DALI Gateway.

  • DALI groups or loads should be configured in the DALI gateway web interface prior to adding those groups or loads to a Crestron Home system.

Tip: For best performance, add DALI groups rather than individual loads whenever possible.

Add a DALI Group or Load to a Room

To add a DALI group to a room:

  1. In the Select a room menu, select a room for the device.

  2. In the Device Types menu, select DALI.

  3. In the DALI menu, select a DALI group or load and then select Add.

    NOTES:

    • If multiple DALI gateways exist in the system, they are placed in folders. The folder names match the name provided to the gateway when it is added to the system.
    • Groups 0 through 15 for both Loop 1 and Loop 2 on the DIN-DALI-2 are listed as available loads even if loads are not assigned to the group. Refer to the Devices tab in the DIN-DALI-2 settings to view the load assignments. For details, refer to DIN‑DALI‑2 Settings.
    • The menu lists the loop name, group name, and the name of the DIN‑DALI‑2 when it is added to the system. To view the name of the loads in the DALI group, refer to DIN‑DALI‑2 Settings.

  4. Enter a name for the device and then select OK.
  5. Configure the device after it is added to the room. Tap  Settings next to the device name to display a Settings dialog box. For details, refer to Device Settings.
Note: After adding a DIN‑DLI and associated groups/loads to Crestron Home, do not readdress DALI Drivers.

Remove a DALI Group or Load from a Room

When a DALI group or load is removed from a room, it is placed in the gateway's device list.

To remove a DALI group or load from a room:

  1. Select a DALI group or load.
  2. Select < Remove.
