Wire the CLX and DIN Rail Products

Make connections to the CAEN‑BLOCK (sold separately), CLX module (sold separately), DIN‑PWS30‑277, DIN‑AP4, and DIN‑HUB.

Warning: To avoid fire, shock, or death, turn off power at circuit breaker or fuse and test that power is off before wiring!

Notes:

  • Install and use the assembly in accordance with appropriate electrical codes and regulations.
  • A licensed electrician must install the assembly.
  • When installing in an enclosure, group high-voltage devices separately from low-voltage devices.

  • Use copper wire only. For high-voltage connections, use wires rated for at least 75 °C.

  • Ensure the devices are properly grounded.

  • Restore power after all connections have been made.

  1. Connect the following cables included with the CAEN‑UMP1X2‑DIN‑PWS.
    • The 6 in. (153 mm) cable connects a CAEN‑BLOCK Cresnet port to the DIN‑AP4 Cresnet port.
    • The 18 in. (457 mm) flat cable connects the CAEN‑BLOCK to the CLX module connector.

  2. Wire the L and N connections of the DIN‑PWS30‑277. Ensure the power supply is properly grounded.

    NOTE: The DIN‑HUB and CAEN‑BLOCK only receive power when powered via the DIN‑PWS30‑277. If the DIN‑AP4 is powered via PoE (not recommended), it will not pass power to the DIN‑HUB or CAEN‑BLOCK.

  3. Wire the CAEN‑UMP1X2‑DIN‑PWS. Refer to the DIN‑AP4 and DIN‑HUB manuals.
